Our Demolition Process
1. The Quote
We make it a point to include more than just the quote in our presentation to you. You are entitled to see
copies of our current Licences and Insurances, also our Terms and Conditions. You should let us know well beforehand if there’s something within the demolition zone that you wish to keep. Read and print our HANDY Pre-Demolition checklist here – it’s a MUST for first time demolishers. And of course, within our quote, there’s the job acceptance form for you to complete. Our quotes are emailed typically within 24 to 48 hrs. Our system is simple, efficient, and it ensures that everyone understands what is expected from a professional demolition project.
2. The Dismantling
The average house takes three to five days to clear. We work from the roof down, hand stripping the salvage materials. Our target is to recycle 80%, sorting it into green waste for mulching, concrete for crushing, metal and glass for recycling etc. It is then removed from the site, and usually as little as only 20% of the demolition material is used for general landfill.
Before we start, we introduce ourselves to the neighbours, informing them of our methods and time frames also answering any questions they may have. We aim to do everything possible to complete the project, quickly, cleanly, and with as little inconvenience to surrounding occupants as possible.
3. The Finishing
We use an excavator to remove the concrete slab and footings, scouring the ground for concealed obstructions and loose materials. The ground is then ‘track rolled’, leaving it cleared and ready for the builders, or for vacant land sale.
